INFANTS
Fare
Our young guests that are below 2 years, on the date of travel, are classified as infants. Infants generally do not have their own seat. Unless you get a child’s fare is purchased for them. You can buy a ticket for an infant, only if it is booked along with an adult. Please contact us at Etihad Airlines to add an infant to an existing booking.
Baggage Allowances
An infant traveler is allowed to carry 1 bag that can be up to 23kg. Guests traveling with infants or children up to 11 years old are permitted to check in a carrying cot or approved car seat per infant/child as checked baggage one stroller, and pushchair. This is free of charge in addition to the ticketed checked baggage allowance.
Notes:
• The infant must be at least 7 days old on the date of travel.
• Age will apply on the date of travel and not at the time of booking.
• Fare rules apply for refunds.
• Each infant that is carried on board must be accompanied by an adult.
• One adult is only allowed to accompany one infant.
• If traveling with more than one infant, the guardian must arrange for one more person to accompany each infant.
CHILDREN
Fare
Our young Travelers from 2 years and below 12 years, on the date of travel, are categorized as children. If the child is traveling on Etihad Flights their 12th birthday, an adult fare should be booked. In case the status of a child turns to an adult on the return flight, the child fare applies throughout the journey.
