Infants or small children, who weigh 40 pounds or less, should be secured in an appropriate CRS when traveling in the sky. The parent or guardian traveling with an infant should know about the proper use of a Child Restraint System (CRS) enhances child safety on aircraft.

Traveling with a lap child in domestic flights:-

• One child whose age between 14 days old to 2 years, is not occupying a seat, may be carried free of charge when traveling with an adult (12 years of age or older).
• Parents or guardians don’t need a boarding pass for the infant; however, they will need a Boarding Verification Document.

Traveling with the infant in FAA-approved car seat:
